Full Document Authoring and Collaboration CycleA4L allows your authors to perform the entire document authoring, review, and collaboration process in Microsoft Word, supported by SPL, QRD, and PIM XML compliant templates. These templates guide the author through the authoring process and control the format and 'look and feel' of the document so that it is always 100% compliant with regulatory standards. Links as well as cross-references are managed by the templates, so you never have to worry about blind references. Document fragments, for content reuse and sharing, are easily utilized by authors, ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of the content.
PIM ManagementAccess control, versioning, and document organization of QRDs into the PIM is done using the familiar Windows Explorer folders and documents. A4L supports check-in/out, version control, and management of the PIM and its associated QRDs. In fact, in A4L, production of a PIM is a simple as selecting a document and selecting the QRD2PIM menu item in the Windows Explorer interface.
