Full Document Authoring and Collaboration CycleA4L allows your authors to perform the entire document authoring, review, and collaboration process in Microsoft Word, supported by SPL compliant templates. These templates guide the author through the authoring process and control the format and 'look and feel' of the document so that it is always 100% compliant with regulatory standards. Links as well as cross-references are managed by the templates, so you never have to worry about blind references. Document fragments, for content reuse and sharing, are easily utilized by authors, ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of the content.
Fragment ManagementA4L allows authors to reuse previously written document sections (fragments). These fragments can be actively linked, meaning the document is updated automatically whenever a fragment is updated. Alternatively, fragments can be linked to specific versions of documents or managed by business rules. Entire SPLs can be created out of document fragments.
'Side Effects' ManagementSPLs must cover the range of offerings made by the product manufacturer in the various jurisdictions where the product is sold. The content of SPLs is under constant review and subject to change. A4L includes simple, easy to use tools built into the Windows interface that allow A4L users to understand the potential impact of change in an SPL; in short it allows a user to ask; "If I change this document or this document fragment what other documents do I need to change?"
