XML CompareThe XML Compare intelligently compares two XML documents and returns a valid result document showing any differences as “tracked changes”.
The Compare Manager allows a user to select a base XML document and a target XML document and compare them. The compare is intelligent; that is, it will compare like sections in a document, thereby getting higher quality results. The Compare Manager provides an important information agreement capability in ALiCE. Restricting the compare to selected XML elements means the user is not confronted with the clutter of compare that happens when the base and target documents are significantly different. The ALiCE Compare Manager limits the compare and thus the clutter, making it much easier to work with the result. The ALiCE Compare Manager returns a valid result document with differences flagged as tracked changes, unlike most XML compares, which simply present side by side views of the differences and force the user to somehow reconcile the two. This result document makes it easy to navigate and reconcile the differences.
The Compare Manager can also compare entire documents simply by selecting the root element.
