Element TrackerThe Element Tracker tracks the genealogy of elements. Whenever a specified element is copied, whether in an editor using cut/copy/paste, or in ALiCE using the Copy To function or the Translation function, a tracking record is made that identifies the element, the document it is held in, and whether the new copy is changed from the previous. A report on this genealogy can be generated by authorized users. This report gives the user a complete view of that XML element’s use in the system. This information is used to monitor change and the potential impact of change.
The Element Tracker, by providing a complete and comprehensive geneology of XML content is a vital tool for the enterprise as it strives to maintain information agreement across its content.
