The National Museum of the American Indian at the Smithsonian and i4i are working on an implementation of ALiCE (i4i's Authoring Lifecycle Collaboration Environment), collaborative content technology. The implementation will use the ALiCE metadata manager as a content aggregator to bring together previously unconnected collections databases. The NMAI and i4i will be presenting a joint paper to discuss this project at the Museums and the Web conference scheduled for April 13-16, 2005 in Vancouver, British Columbia.

i4i is pleased to announce that it be will giving an SPL tutorial at the Electronic Regulatory Submissions Conference in La Jolla California, December 6 and 7. i4i will be updating participants on the state of the SPL (Structure Product Labeling) standard.

i4i is pleased to announce that, at the XML 2004 Conference in Washington DC., November 15-19, i4i will be updating the XML community on its work on the SPL (Structure Product Labeling) Technical Committee. The SPL XML Schema has recently been approved as HL7-ANSI Standard Structured Product Labeling ANSI/HL7 SPL, R1.0-2004..

i4i releases V2.9 of x4o, its best selling One Step Solution to XML Authoring in Microsoft® Word.

i4i demonstrates its SPL solution at the FDA Structured Products Labeling - Benefits and Challenges Friday, June 4, 2004, College Park, MD. The i4i solution allows authors, using x4o, to create SPL documents in Word and save them as conforming HL7 XML. i4i demonstrates how Project ALiCE can be configured to support authors developing SPLs.
